Huckleberry Tent and Breakfast offers a unique wilderness experience in the mountains of North Idaho.  You may have read about us in 'Country Living Magazine' or 'Sunset Magazine'.  We've also been featured in 'Idaho Magazine', 'Idaho Farm Bureau Quarterly', Alaska Airline Magazine and our local Co-op Country Store newspaper.

Our solar-powered homestead is nestled in the Cabinet Mountain Range -- 30 miles east of Sandpoint.  This corner of Idaho/Montana is a Nature Lover's paradise.  Scotchman's Peak, the ancient Ross Creek Cedar Grove, Kootenai Falls and Suspension Bridge, the Clark Fork River, Johnson Creek and Lake Pend Oreille are a few of our favorite places to hike or kayak.

With only 3 Canvas Wall Tents spread over 52 acres, Huckleberry Tent and Breakfast offers a peaceful, private retreat from the modern world.  Our Tent Cabins are furnished with all the comforts of a bed and breakfast--queen-sized beds, propane lights, wide plank floors, wood stoves, fully-equipped camp kitchen, outdoor shower, fire pit and s’mores.

Take a short walk over to the homestead and harvest fresh vegetables from the organic garden, feed the chickens, ducks, turkey and goats, canoe the 14 acre pond, grab a bike and explore the many forest trails or just sit back and enjoy the simple things in life.

With only 3 tent sites spread over 52 forested acres, we offer a unique vacation alternative.  Experience a private camping experience in the North Idaho wilderness.

Each 12’ x 14’ canvas tent cabin features a queen-sized feather bed, down comforters, wide plank floors, wood stove, antique parlor table and chairs, and old-fashioned steamer trunk.

A farm-style breakfast which showcases our own eggs, pork sausage, apple cider and jams is served at our off-grid homestead - or - request our “breakfast basket” featuring goodies you can cook at your private camp kitchen.

Each site has its own screened camp kitchen equipped with a 2-burner propane hotplate, hand-operated water pump, ice chest (bring your own ice, please), vintage kitchen sink, table, chairs, pots, plates and utensils.  For a more rustic experience, use the grill, pie irons or borrow one of our Dutch ovens to cook over the camp fire.

For those who want the complete outdoor experience, an outdoor camp shower, shampoo, soap, towels and a private outhouse are provided at each campsite.  If you prefer things a little less rustic, a regular shower is available at the homestead.
